“Nigerians are the biggest hypocrites” — Bobrisky defends KC luxury after NDLEA arrest

Popular crossdresser Bobrisky has criticised Nigerians for what he described as hypocrisy following the arrest of luxury goods dealer and social media influencer Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Read heare

In a post shared on social media, Bobrisky said many Nigerians who are now speaking negatively about KC Luxury remained silent about their alleged opinions of him before his arrest.

“Nigerians are the biggest hypocrites. So many of you have a lot to say about KC Luxury now, but you couldn’t say any of it to his face before he got arrested,” Bobrisky wrote.

He further claimed that some people who were previously praising and supporting the influencer quickly changed their attitude after news of his arrest emerged.

“Many of you were busy kissing his ass before his arrest, but the moment he got arrested, you suddenly found your voices and opinions,” he added.

Bobrisky also argued that envy exists among men, warning people against assuming that individuals genuinely support one another in private.

“Fear human beings o, especially men! If you think men don’t secretly envy each other, then you’re lying to yourself,” he said.

Clarifying his relationship with KC Luxury, Bobrisky said he was not his friend and did not follow him on social media, but criticised those who publicly showed support for him only to turn against him following his arrest.

“I’m not his friend, and I don’t follow him, but pretending to love and support someone, only to start speaking badly about them the moment they get arrested, really shows how hypocritical some people are,” he wrote.

The reaction comes after NDLEA announced the arrest of KC Luxury in connection with a major cocaine trafficking investigation.

NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), disclosed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, that the agency had intercepted 184.50 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed for export through a courier logistics channel in Lagos.

According to Marwa, the consignment had an estimated street value of N39 billion, prompting the agency to establish a Special Investigation Team to trace the network behind the shipment.

The investigation reportedly led to the arrest of two key suspects, including Lawal Mujab Kehinde, a staff member of the logistics company allegedly involved in processing the consignment.

Marwa identified KC Luxury as the alleged Nigerian arrowhead of the syndicate, claiming that he operated under the cover of a luxury goods business and social media influence while allegedly coordinating cocaine shipments from South America through Nigeria to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.

A search of his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, reportedly led to the recovery of foreign currencies, luxury jewellery and exotic vehicles.

Following his arrest, old photos and videos of KC Luxury displaying his wealth, including exotic cars and Birkin bags, have resurfaced online and sparked widespread reactions.
